Studies show that the number of dementia patients was almost 45 million by 2015 which is double the number of patients by 1990. At the same time, the rate of obesity increased from 11.1% to 30.6% in the U.S.A. Many studies have revealed a connection between obesity and dementia.

Though the exact reason is still unknown, researchers believe that obesity is the result of eating foods that lack proper nutrition. This gives rise to the desire of eating more to fulfill the demand for vitamins and minerals of the body. So even if you eat a lot of junk foods, your brain would still be lacking nutrition.
