6. Redness and Swelling

The red zone area on the affected breast is common. The main reason for this may be itchiness. Some of the times, the skin of the affected area seem bruised or discoloured. It may vary in colour ranging from red to purple, or it may have the bluish tint type appearance on the skin. There may be swelling on a particular area of the breast or the whole breast.

Swelling makes the difference in sizes of both breasts. The node is responsible for the tightening of breast skin. Noticing these signs does not mean that the individual should be fearful or panic. Other possible reasons for the breast size changes are hormonal changes or ageing.
